Onze reizigers met de auto zijn nog steeds op dreef!
Na een goede nachtrust in Stockholm zijn ze deze ochtend begonnen aan de laatste +- 1200km.
De dag begonnen ze met een stevig ontbijt en een goede koffie.
De temperatuur bedraagt op dit moment rond het vriespunt. Van speciale kledij tegen de koude is voorlopig blijkbaar nog geen sprake!
Als ze zouden blijven rijden zijn ze rond 23u50 in Akäslompolo reeds. Aangezien ze in het licht overdag willen genieten van de prachtige zichten die ze passeren hebben ze voor deze avond een hotel geboekt in Lulèa, Zweden. Rond 19u30 zullen ze daar arriveren.
Geert wist alvast te melden dat Zweden vol met flitspalen staat… Gelukkig nog geen jackpot!
Voor Reinhilde, Tom en Djorry begint het avontuur morgen. Rond 8u vertrekken ze naar de luchthaven in Zaventem om rond 11u30 op te stijgen richting Helsinki. Van daaruit zullen ze richting Kittila vliegen.
Tegen 19u hopen ze goed en wel voet aan grond te hebben gezet om nog een korte autorit naar Akäslompolo te maken en het team te vervolledigen.
Our team in the car is still on track!
After a good sleep last night in Stockholm they started the last part of the trip… +- 1200km to go.
They started the day with a good breakfast and a cup of coffee. The temperature is around freezing point. Use of the special clothing for the cold is not necessary at this moment.
If they want to drive until 23hr50 they will arrive already in Akäslompolo. Because of the daylight they would like to enjoy the beautiful views around them, so they will take a good sleep tonight in Lulèa, Sweden. Around 19hr30 they will arrive there.
Geert told us that there are in Sweden a lot of speed cameras. Luckely no winning ticket…
For Reinhilde, Tom and Djorry the adventure will start tomorrow. Around 8 o’clock they will drive to the airport in Zaventem to take the first flight around 11hr30 with destination Helsinki. From Helsinki they will fly to Kittila.
Around 19hr they hope to get back on ground and take the car for a small trip to Akäslompolo and join the team!
